501 Witnesses
You might have seen the Disney movie, “101 Dalmatians”, but today I want to tell you about the “501 Witnesses!”
In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul speaks about the resurrection of Jesus, and says…
“…he (that is Jesus) appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living…”
What Paul is saying here is that when he wrote his letter to the Christian church at Corinth, there were still more than 500 people alive who had seen the risen Lord.
He’s saying, “If you don’t believe me, there’s plenty of other people you can ask!”
So where does the 501st witness come into it?
That’s your spot! My challenge for you is to share the news of Jesus by telling a friend, family member or colleague what Jesus has done in your life. Will you take up the challenge to be the 501st witness this week?
