Most Australians claim to believe in God or a “higher power,” but only one in ten attend church every week.
In the Bible we find the story of Jacob, who had to leave home as a result of his own mistakes. He’s in the middle of the wilderness, and right there, God assures him that he is with him. When Jacob wakes up, he says,
How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God.
Jacob had no church to go to, yet God brought the house of God to him.
Yes, it is good to go to church, and if you trust in God, he’ll lead to you where he wants you to be.
However, it’s also true that wherever you are can be a place of blessing for you.
Whether you’re in a church or in a supermarket, God can bless you today, right now, where you are. Just ask. He’s there.
