When God Fights For You
When I was at school, I made sure I was friends with the toughest guy in school. I got bullied at times, and fighting wasn’t my thing, so I left it to the professionals!
People sometimes think that being friends with God is like having him on the side-lines cheering for you, while you struggle on by yourself. But that’s not how it is at all!
Before God parted the waters of the red sea, Moses said to the people,
The Lord will fight for you, and you won’t have to do a thing.
And it’s the same with how God saves us. God fights for us, and we don’t have to do a thing. It can’t be that easy, right?
It is. What was difficult, was for the people to accept it, and then to step into the sea. Remember: You do nothing for your salvation, but you have a lot to do with your salvation.
God fights for us, and we don’t have to do a thing.
