Unlimited: Don’t Be Afraid of Their Faces
Nov 11, 2024 1937
Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you (Jeremiah 1:8, NKJV).
When I was a little boy of around 10 years old, I used to walk to and from school with my brother.
As I walked, I remember looking at the adults who were going about their business. I noticed how unhappy and grumpy they looked. I decided that most people didn’t look friendly at all. As a child, that was rather scary.
I am reminded of the words that the Lord spoke to the prophet Jeremiah when he called him to serve him: Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you (Jeremiah 1:8, NKJV).
God was calling Jeremiah to go out among his people and preach a message of judgment. He wasn’t going to win any popularity contests. In fact, everyone would hate him because of the things that God told him to say. But God told him not to be afraid of their faces.
We can be crippled by fear and uncertainty about what others might think about us, or of what they might do to us. We can let the faces of others determine our decisions.
The Lord says to you, “Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you. Knowing that the Lord is with you lets you face every face and every situation with confidence and strength.

Eli’s Reflection:Who are the people you most fear? Visualise their faces. Read Jeremiah 1:8 again. How does this verse apply in your own life?
Dear Many - Thank you for your encouragement. I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean you have stopped receiving our daily devotions?
Dear Dr. Ellie...I always feel good, encouraged, loved, blessed with your daily word of God. But, it has been so long from the time I received your word of encouragement, teaching, in short the word of salvation. Please keep on doing so.
Dear Elli: It's been quite some times since I have recieved your message. I actually read them twice or thrice back. I just love the message for each passage clearly gives me another way to get in the best way to manifest my life in the future. They gives me quite a lot of new ideas and hopes. Everyday God talks to me by your message. Thank you! I hope to get more message daily. God bless you for you are also a blessing.
Dear Eli: Thank you so much for this message. It strengthened me greatly as I face the challenges of my own ministry in doing what God has called me to do. I am saddened at Dr. Ford's passing. I was privileged to meet him on a number of occasions. What a fabulous theologian, Christian, pastor, writer, thought leader, speaker and evangelist. Major

Dear Eli, Thank you for this comforting message. I needed to hear it today, since we do not know what will now happen in my country (USA, post- election 2024). I take encouragement in the thought that Jesus's return is near, and that He will be with us to the end. May God bless you and your work.
