An Overactive Imagination

Radio Version:

An Overactive Imagination

In early primary school, I used to see things in the dark that weren’t there, and they used to frighten the heck out of me. So much so, that the school principal recommended to my parents that I undergo a psychological assessment.

So, off I went to the hospital, where I had a nice chat with a doctor, who let me play different kinds of games while he watched. The diagnosis? An overactive imagination.

It’s been said that 85% of the stuff we fear never happens to us. Yet many people live their lives being afraid of the 15% that might happen. They live their lives in fear because of an over-active imagination!

What you need to do is to train your mind to focus on the positive: on all the good things in your life, and all the great stuff that’s coming your way. Because, remember: If you’re a friend of Jesus, there’s no reason to be afraid.
