Construction Underway On Good News Old Age Home, A Place For Destitute Elderly — *Pr Joseph stands at the construction site of the Good News Old Age Home*

In the village of Srinuvasapuram in India, Pr Joseph is currently building the Good News Old Age Home. It will be a place for the “untouchable” elderly people in the area who are living in extreme poverty, abandoned by the rest of society. He says,

“I have been inspired and touched by the Holy Gospel to take care of the elderly poor women and men who have no one and who live in huts without proper food, water, and sleeping beds. The elderly people in the remote villages have been suffering a lot. And no one bothers about them or takes care of them. We will take in the elderly people who do not have anyone and look after them well with regard to their health conditions.

Many of the elderly people do not know about Jesus and are ending their lives here on earth without knowing about Jesus and accepting Jesus. So my vision is that through this old age home I could save as many as elderly people and preach the Holy Gospel to them daily and give baptisms and feed them daily.“

It is also said in Isaiah 58:7 to bring the homeless into a house and share bread with the hungry.

This is the second place like this that Pr Joseph has started. The Blessy Old Age Care Centre has been running in the village of Nandiwada for several years now.

The Good News Old Age Home will serve those who have nothing and no one.

The Good News Old Age Home will also be a place that serves the community. Once a week there will be free food provided at the home for the poor people in the village. At this time Pr Joseph will also share the Gospel and pray for people.

He says,

“The purpose and plan of God to build the Good News Old Age Home is to preach the Holy Gospel and save the souls in their last days and to give them a happy, peaceful and joyful life in Christ Jesus.
