Don’t Be Afraid
I remember a time sitting in a small tin boat on a large lake, when out of the blue, a heavy storm started rolling in. I must admit, I felt pretty helpless as I tried to row against the wind. But the good news was, I wasn’t alone.
In fact, as followers of Jesus, you and I are never alone.
Jesus’ last words on earth to his church were, I am with you always, even to the end.
What a powerful and comforting moment, as Jesus promises to be with us in our time of need, and to surround us with his love even to the very end.
That truth has held me firm throughout so many of life’s storms … including the very real one I faced that day on the lake.
And God’s promise is the same for you. When it feels like you’re alone in the storms of life, don’t be afraid because Jesus has promised, I am with you.
Don’t be afraid. As followers of Jesus, you and I are never alone.
