Name-Dropping
When I try to do some name-dropping, all I usually get are blank stares! That’s probably because most of the people I know aren’t really famous enough.
But I know Jesus Christ. I’ll tell you what he’s like. He had these friends who were once in the middle of a lake in a raging storm. Their boat was sinking and they were in a hopeless situation. There seemed to be no way for Jesus to reach them. But he did.
He just walked across the waves, stepped into the boat, and calmed the storm.
Sometimes life gets tough. Life tells me that I’m not good enough and that I’m hopeless. That’s when I do some name-dropping myself. In the touch times, I say to Life: “Life, I know Jesus. Do you know him? He’s the one who walks on water.”If you want to do some powerful name-dropping, Jesus really is the only name you need to know.
