One In Ten
When I was kid – yeah, back in the day when hot chips came wrapped up in newspaper and cost 5 cents – our local fast food shop was run by a couple of Greek brothers. One time they gave me 5 cents too much in change.
I went back and returned the 5c to them. They were both so grateful that someone would do that. And the great thing was, that from then on, there were always a few extra lollies or chips for me whenever I bought something there. It was their way of saying thank you, and I didn’t mind at all!
There’s this story in the Bible about how Jesus healed ten lepers, and only one came back to thank him. It’s like Jesus is saying, “Don’t be upset if people don’t show you gratitude, only one in ten said thanks to me.”
Remember: be the one in ten who says thanks.
Be the one in ten who says thanks.
