Prophecies About Jesus and Their Fulfillment
Prophecies About Jesus can be found in the Old Testament. God’s story of redemption was planned all the way back at the very beginning in the garden of Eden. We can see God’s love and care for His people through the work of His son, Jesus.
God gave signs that point us to Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection throughout the Old Testament. We can see God’s amazing plan for reconciliation to His people in these prophesies about Jesus and how they are fulfilled.
Jesus Himself told us to look for Him in the Old Testament. He said, “You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me” (John 5:39).
Here’s a list of old testament prophecies about Jesus along with the fulfillment of those prophesies found in the New Testament.

for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.'”

Then I said, “Here I am, I have come- it is written about me in the scroll. I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart”
|Hebrews 10:5-10 “First he said, ‘Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them’—though they were offered in accordance with the law. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”|

So, I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter at the house of the Lord.”||Matthew 27:6–10 “The chief priests picked up the coins and said, ‘It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money.’ So, they decided to use the money to buy the potter’s field as a burial place for foreigners. That is why it has been called the Field of Blood to this day. Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: ‘They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price set on him by the people of Israel, and they used them to buy the potter’s field, as the Lord commanded me.'”|

The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other. But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: ‘Not one of his bones will be broken.'”|
