Don’t you hate it when someone spoils the end of a movie? Especially when there’s a massive twist right at the end. There’s nothing worse!
That’s why spoilers usually come with a warning, because people would rather not know them.
But the spoiler God gives to those of us who are doing life on earth is one you’ll definitely want to hear. It’s all good news!
And here it is: Jesus wins! In fact, he has already won. He says, “Take heart! I have overcome the world.” And here’s his promise of the victory to come:
I will wipe every tear from your eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
Knowing the ending of our world’s story means you and I can face life with confidence – no matter what gets thrown our way.
Spoiler alert: Jesus wins! In fact, he has already won.
