That’s Grace

Hey, let’s talk about baby names. How did you choose the name of your baby? Did you go through one of those baby names books?

I’m amazed just how misleading some of those books are. We called our daughter Rebecca just because we liked the name but it actually means a camel tie. That’s what people used to use to tie their camels down for the night.

Now Grace is also a popular girl’s name, but do you know what it really means? It means favour, and love, and kindness. The Bible tells us that grace is essential for the graceless – it’s not grace if it’s given to the deserving. And that’s what God does.

For God so loved the world… That’s grace.

This man receives sinners… That’s grace too.

Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven to men… That’s grace.

You know what? I reckon more babies should be called Grace.
