The Dreamer
When I was a kid I used to dream about flying. It was great! When you dream about flying it means that you feel free or happy about something.
In the Bible story, Joseph was a dreamer. He dreamed of a glorious future, of a better world where there’d be bread for all. He was teased and bullied and mocked.
But in the end, Joseph’s dreams all came true.
Jesus was a dreamer – a carpenter from a backwater town. He dreamed about a world in which everyone was a neighbour, a world of kindness, a world where all would dance like children in the sun, soaking in the love of their Father in heaven.
Just a dreamer… They killed him, you know.
But on the Sunday morning, the dreamer returned, and it all started to come true. Today, the world’s forgotten how to dream. But if you know Jesus as your friend, all your best dreams will come true.
