The Longest Wait

You’ve probably used those self-service checkouts in the supermarkets. You know, the ones where you usually don’t have to wait in a long queue?

And don’t we all hate waiting! It’s a lost art.

In the Kingdom of God, it’s often true that good things come to those who wait.

God doesn’t move at our pace, he moves at his. We may go through times of apparent silence from God. But it’s not God who is silent; it’s just our hearts that need tuning to his frequency of love.

In fact, the longest silence the world has ever known happened that Friday afternoon when they placed Jesus in a tomb behind a rock. They thought he would never again be heard.

But on Sunday morning the whole world heard his voice. And it was worth waiting for.

So tune your heart to God today. You are loved. You are forgiven. You are His.
