This Too Will Pass
There’s a story about an ancient king who called in all his wise men and said, “Give me a philosophy of life to help me survive the challenges of being king, and make it brief enough to be engraved on this ring.”
So all the wise men got together and they said, “This is what you should put on the ring: ‘This too will pass away.’”
It’s true. Everything does pass away. Many things in your past exist only as memories today. Even people can pass away.
But Jesus said,
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
It’s true. The moment you believe, you pass from death to life. Why? Because faith is the key that unlocks eternity.
Faith is the key that unlocks eternity.
