but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2b).
The apostle Paul has made it clear that true worship is our response to God’s salvation. However, worship is much broader and deeper than we usually consider it to be.
Our response to God’s free gift of salvation is the surrender of our entire lives to him. As we do this our lives will be transformed. How does life-transformation of our lives happen? It happens through the renewal of our minds by the Holy Spirit of God.
In the context of the Gospel, it is important to understand that changing our lives has nothing to do with the reason or basis for our salvation. It is the work of God in our lives as we respond in gratitude to having been saved by his grace. In essence, as we worship through surrender, our minds our transformed.

In the secular world, too many people think that they can change their lives by changing their behaviour. This cannot be. We must first change the way we think, and this is one of the hardest things in the world to do! That’s why God renews your mind.
In the religious world, many people believe that they can become Christians and still take their old ways of thinking with them. Impossible!
God claims all of us, and he transforms us from the inside out.
Spiritual Application
Think over the past decade or two of your life (if you’ve lived that long!). The question isn’t whether you think you’ve been transformed, because we are our own worst judges. The question is, have people noticed that you are in the process of being transformed?

A very good morning to you. From my lay man’s point of view, if you are not transformed a decade or two ago and now you are transformed, your general character, doings and behavior should or will make people know that you are transformed. It’s not difficult for anyone to know if you are transformed rather, you have to start the transformation from your innermost part of yourself and people will see the transformation from the outside of you. Thank you.
