John 6:35
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. (ESV)
What a beautiful invitation from Jesus!
Jesus offers to everyone, in himself, an end to thirsting and hungering, because our deepest satisfaction finds its fulfilment in him.
It was C.S. Lewis who said, “If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.”
Friends, you were made for another world. You were made to know Jesus, not just now, but for eternity.
And so coming to Jesus and believing in him means we will have something that we will feast upon in him for all of eternity.
And so if you haven’t come to Jesus, come to Jesus and find your deepest desires satisfied in him who gave his life that we could enjoy life to the full.
