What Are You Worth?
I don’t have a huge amount of money, and I’m not particularly good looking. Skill-wise I am more of a jack-of-all-trades rather than the master of one.
So, what am I worth? Our society, with its evolutionary bias, tells us that only the material has value and the spiritual is not real. If we try to calculate the material value of the minerals and bits and pieces in my body, excluding selling my organs, the value would probably be under ten dollars.
The truth is that I’ve always struggled with my own self-worth, and that doesn’t help!
When I want to be reminded of what I am worth, I look to God. There could be no greater worth than the value that God has placed on you, since,
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all… (Rom. 8:32.)
Heaven emptied itself for you.
So, what are you worth?
