What’s In Your Angel’s Basket?
There’s this story about two angels who were sent from heaven, each with a basket. One was sent to bring back people’s requests, and the other was sent to bring back their thanks.
When they returned, they were both in trouble. The requests completely overflowed the basket. But the bottom of the gratitude basket wasn’t even covered by three tiny thanks!
The trouble is, of course, this twisted human nature that we have. Our human nature is as crooked as a corkscrew. To say “thank you” is just as difficult for us as to say “I’m sorry.”
Show me someone who’s ungrateful, and I’ll show you someone who’s miserable.
There’s always something to be thankful for every day. I’m sure you can think of something, and if you can’t, well, you can always be thankful for what hasn’t happened!
So remember: start filling your angel’s basket with gratitude.
There’s always something to be thankful for every day.
