Unlimited: Different Gifts

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us (Romans 12:6a).
God has made each one of us to be unique. When we have accepted Christ, we each receive different gifts. They are different gifts, not greater or lesser gifts. They are different gifts, not better gifts.
This is important, because the apostle Paul has just told us in the preceding verses that we are not to think of ourselves as superior to others, but instead that we are all here to serve one another.
Some people think that the gift of administration (or leadership) is a more important gift than the gift of faith, or that the gift of tongues is more important than the gift of serving. God teaches us no such thing through the Scripture.
They are different gifts, not greater or lesser gifts.
The basis for how God distributes his gifts to each one of us is not our merit, but rather “the grace given to each of us” (See also 1 Cor. 12:11.) In fact, the Greek word for “spiritual gifts” is precisely “charismata,” which literally means a “gift of grace.”
Grace means that what we receive is entirely undeserved, so it is impossible that the spiritual gifts we have been given should be a reason for boasting or pride. However, the human heart is so depraved, that we still find reasons for exalting people for the unmerited gifts they have received.

The gift given to me by God is highly appreciated. I don't deserve it but Grace made it possible. Though I admire others due to the working of the flesh. I pray God will show me mercy. I pray for the excellency of this gift in Jesus name , amen.

I embrace the gift entrusted on me by his own election and by his grace am his servant. I love the gift and I pray that the Lord helps me.
