You Are a Steward of God’s Grace – Eliezer Gonzalez

You are a steward of God’s grace. What are you doing with it?
When I was a little kid at school, our grade 6 teacher once asked us who we thought in the class was the most trustworthy person among us. Who among us was the person who was likely to not betray a secret no matter how much money he or she was offered or how much torture he or she endured?
As a child, I thought of myself as having great integrity and honesty, and so I was very disappointed when the teacher nominated another boy called Tim as the one he thought he could trust the most. The teacher gave his reasons too: because Tim was the toughest and strongest, the teacher thought he would endure the most under torture. I was gutted that the teacher had not chosen me.
In New Testament times, every wealthy household had a steward. This was the head servant, who was entrusted to with everything that the master owned, to manage it for the good of the master. Today, we would call this person a “manager.” The key requirement for being a steward was that you be trustworthy. The Bible tells us that,
It is required in stewards that one be found faithful (1 Cor 4:2, NKJV).
Most of us aspire to have an important position one day, whether in our careers, or our society, or even just in our families. But if we belong to Jesus, we’ve already been given the most important position of all. The apostle Peter tells us that we should serve “one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (1 Pet 4:10, NASB).
In the business world, I’ve been a manager in the past. It’s was an awesome responsibility to be entrusted with expensive assets and large amounts of money. And God has entrusted you and me with the treasures of his grace.
What are you doing with the grace God has given you?
One day, God will ask you what you have done with the grace he has given you. Have you let it flourish and grow and fill every part of your life? Have you shared it freely and generously with others? Have you spoken grace, lived grace, and been grace to those who need it?
Of course, a grace-filled life doesn’t come naturally to any of us. It is a kind of life that we grow into more and more, as we consciously accept God’s grace to deal with our own sins and failures, day by day. When that is our experience, when we have ourselves received the gift, it transforms us from the inside out, so that others begin to receive the gift through us.
The big question for you is, can God trust you with his grace? Can he trust that you will treasure it in your own life, and pass it on to others? And it goes beyond that. Can God trust that the number one purpose of your life is to introduce the grace of Jesus Christ to others who don’t yet know it?
If so, then you are indeed a faithful steward of God’s grace. – Eliezer Gonzalez
Thanks so much, for making me realise that am a steward of God's grace. I will treasure it in my own life and pass it to others, for this is the whole essence of being graced. Glory to God.

Thank you so much I thank God for this word because I have been given the insight to love God for his word for my daily walk of life.
